So I am gonna start this out by saying I am not much of a blogger. I was never much of a journal person growing up. There were times where I tried to start but it never lasted more than a week. So let's see if we have any better luck with a blog. First thing I will tell you is that this won't be your typical blog. I am a guy who goes through trends. I will be obsessed with one thing for a while and then it can all of a sudden change without warning. So most of my posts will probably be about my obsession at the time. Right now the obsession is Comic books so we will see how long that lasts.
Now to start this thing off I am gonna let you know about my job situation. Most of you probably have no idea about this so now you all will know. So back in 2007 I started working for FYE on Longmore. I worked as an associate for a year and was then promoted to assistant manager. I worked as an assistant manager for about a year before I requested a transfer to the Santan store for a promotion. I then worked for about 6 months as a Senior Assistant Manager at the Santan FYE before they decided to close the store.
NOW here is what most people do not know. FYE offered me my old assistant manager position at my old store. This was gonna be a pay drop as well as an hour cut from my Senior assistant position. So after many conversations with my wife and much praying on my part(yes I do pray probably something else you didnt' know) I decided continuing with FYE was no longer in my best interest so I left the company on good terms.
I now work at Broadway Palm Dinner theatre where I no longer have the stress I had at FYE and I no longer have customers threatening to beat me or kill me (yes I did have that happen at FYE a couple times). Another plus for Broadway Palm is that they have some of the most amazing staff I have ever met. They all embraced me quickly and whenever I walk into work there is this great feeling that comes from all of them.
Here is the downside of Broadway Palm: I do not get paid nearly as much as I did at FYE. So lately I have been trying to find a part time or full time job that I can work along with BP. I have had interviews with QT and Best buy and have yet to get any jobs there. I need to find something soon so that Kristi and I can pay for our new apartment that we just got.
Now everyone is caught up on my work situation. Now for everything else.
So today Kristi and I went to the Renaissance festival. For those who do not know my wife is like obsessed with the Ren. Faire. For me it's only fun for a couple hours but I tough out an 8 hour day cause she loves it. I would probably enjoy it a lot more if I had the money to buy a sword for shield every year but I never do. I do have to admit the main reason I go is to get Steak on a stake(which is Yummy) and real beef jerky(also Yummy). Another reason I tough out an 8 hour day is because I love spending time with Kristi. I'm sure she hates the fact that I love spending so much time with her cause when it comes to things she likes I complain alot. Like at the Ren. Faire today after Lindsay and Drew left I started asking her if it was time to go. That was around 3:30 we ended up leaving at like 6. I do have to say I really enjoyed hanging out with Drew and I will have to do it more.
Now there is something I want to share before I end this. Last night at work I enjoyed myself more that I ever have at any job. I don't know why I felt I had to share that but I did. I enjoy solving problems and last night I helped to solve one. I wish I didn't have to find a job somewhere else cause I would love to work full time at Broadway Palm.
